Privacy Policy

Pixelz (“we”, “us”) publishes free photography tutorials at pixelz.pro. This policy explains what information is handled when you visit the site, who else is involved, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to every page served from pixelz.pro, including the advertising and analytics services described below. Reading Pixelz requires no account, no login and no newsletter signup.

Information you give us. If you write to us through the contact page, we receive the name, email address and message you choose to send. We use them only to answer you, and we keep them only as long as needed for that exchange. We never ask for payment details, and we never ask you to send photographs of identity documents.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server records standard technical data — IP address, browser and device type, referring page and the pages requested — in access logs used for security, abuse prevention and capacity planning. We also save your language and display preferences in your browser’s local storage; those preferences stay on your device and are not transmitted to us.

Cookies. Pixelz itself uses a small number of first-party storage items, mainly to remember your language choice and display preference. Third-party services described below may set their own cookies, web beacons or similar identifiers when their content loads on our pages. You can block, delete or limit cookies at any time in your browser settings; the tutorials keep working, though some preferences may reset. Blocking third-party cookies may also mean you see less relevant advertising rather than no advertising.

Third-party advertising — Google AdSense. We display advertising through Google AdSense to keep the site free to read. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Google may also use the DoubleClick DART cookie for this purpose, and third-party vendors and ad networks may serve ads on this site as well.

How to opt out of personalized advertising. You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info (https://www.aboutads.info/choices). You can also review and adjust the interest categories associated with your browser there. For details on how Google handles data from sites that use its services, see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Where required by law, we ask for consent before any non-essential advertising cookie is set, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by clearing cookies for this site.

Analytics. We use privacy-respecting, server-side statistics to understand which tutorials are read and how visitors arrive. These figures are stored on our own server, are used only in aggregate, and are never used to build an individual profile of you. We do not sell or rent this data.

Links to other sites. Tutorials may link to external resources such as camera manufacturers, photo-sharing services or reference material. Once you follow such a link you are on someone else’s site; we are not responsible for its content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to read its policy before providing personal information.

Your rights under the GDPR and the CCPA. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the right to be informed, to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability, as well as the right to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the advertising providers described above.

How to exercise these rights. Pixelz keeps no reader accounts and builds no reader profiles, so in most cases the only personal data we hold about you is a message you chose to send us. You can ask us to correct or delete it at any time by writing to [email protected], and we will respond within 30 days. For advertising choices, use the Google Ads Settings and www.aboutads.info links above; those choices follow your browser or device rather than your identity on this site.

Children. Pixelz is written for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

Security and retention. Data you send us travels over an encrypted connection, and access to it is limited to the editors who answer reader mail. We keep contact messages only for as long as needed to answer them and to record any correction, then delete them on a routine schedule.

Changes to this policy. We may update this policy at any time to reflect changes in our practices, our suppliers or the law. The revised version takes effect as soon as it is posted on this page, and the revision date below will change with it. Material changes will also be flagged on the home page. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy. This policy was last updated on September 15, 2026.
